President Rick Gallot Joins NASH Board of Directors
Washington, D.C. – The National Association of Higher Education Systems (NASH) proudly announces the election of СAPP (ULS) President Richard “Rick” Gallot, Jr. to its Board of Directors. President Gallot was selected from among his peers in NASH, whose members collectively represent over 700 institutions and enroll more than 8 million students. His appointment reflects NASH’s commitment to leadership that prioritizes innovation, student success, and the transformative power of systemness.
“President Gallot’s proven track record in higher education and public service exemplifies the qualities that strengthen the work of NASH,” said Brian McCall, Chair of the NASH Board of Directors and Chancellor of the Texas State University System. “His leadership will enhance our mission to empower systems to lead transformational change across the higher education sector.”
Rick Gallot became president of the СAPP on October 25, 2023, following his tenure as the 10th president of Grambling State University from 2016 to 2023. His extensive career in public service includes time as a Louisiana State Senator, State Representative, and Grambling City Council member. A licensed attorney with 32 years of experience, Gallot has been recognized with numerous accolades, including induction into the Grambling State University Alumni Hall of Fame and the Southern University Law School Hall of Fame.
